Purpose

The goal of this was to create an encyclopedia of ideas that help us imagine (and build) a world beyond extraction, punishment, and scarcity. A world that in many ways, is already here, despite the web of control cast over us. We’re gathering the already existing and deeply rooted ways people have created life-affirming systems. These systems have existed throughout history or exist now throughout our cultures. Some of them are ideas that have been tried, others may be works of fiction. They all answer one question: What would a society look like where everyone gets to thrive?

How-To

Our intention isn’t to offer one single vision. Instead, this catalogue maps a constellation of solutions: small-scale and global, indigenous and post-industrial, experimental and ancestral. We’ve gathered these ideas together as a love letter to humanity. This collection is based on seeds of hope, creating a library of possible futures for different contexts. Our planet is diverse and there could never be a one-size-fits-all solution.

Explore this like a wandering scholar tracing their finger along the tomes of wisdom in a ancient library or a movement builder going through archives of ancestral secrets.
